Welcome to the Curl Directive!

We are on a mission to teach hairstylists and makeup artists  our love for all things curls and coils. We want to teach you all about how to work with textured hair, grow your confidence and leave you feeling empowered when it comes to working with curly and coily hair types. 

The bridal industry doesn’t cater a great deal for those with textured hair, we want our stylists to add these skills to their tool kit. We understand how it feels as a stylist to not feel confident in working with textured hair. 

After the workshop whoever sits in your chair, you’ll have the confidence, knowledge and skills to know how to work with their hair type. 

Our workshops aim to take away that anxiety you may feel when the client sits in your chair. By teaching you how to identify, prep and style curls and coils. You’ll leave the workshops with a whole new love for textured hair!

Our Intro to Curly Brides hairstyling workshop is perfect for those who know a bit about hairstyling, but would love to learn more about how to style natural curls. This workshop will focus on building your knowledge and understanding of curl types and how to work with curls and coils. 

We want you to leave feeling empowered, excited, and confident to work with textured hair!!

You can be a total beginner with styling curls, that’s okay!

What will be on the workshop:

➰ Identifying curl patterns and types 

➰ The consultation process

➰ How to prep curls with the right products.

➰ The correct products to use to make a style last.

➰ How to get those defined beautiful curls to the hair.

➰ What you need in your Tool kit.

➰ Product knowledge

➰ How to dry natural curls.

➰ How get volume without disturbing the curl pattern.

➰ Terminology 

➰ Effortless Bridal hair up styles.

Across the two days there will be some theory, demos and practical work. All students will get to work on mannequin heads to put your learning into practice. 

We will teach you about each curl pattern and how to work with each curl type. After watching demos and learning the theory, you’ll then get to put these techniques you’ve learnt into hands on practice. 

We will go through the consultation process and how to talk to your clients to get the best results out of your trials and wedding day hair styling for your clients.
